Original Oil Painting, Female Downy Woodpecker , Title "Pearl"
“Pearl” is based on one experience when I was out birding and this female woodpecker landed in the tree right in front of me. It was amazing and I felt like she trusted me. So she was on that tree for some time before she flew away. I called her Pearl.
